                     CLARK SHORES ASSOCIATION

                     Directors Meeting  July 1, 2007  

 

CALL TO ORDER        11:12

ROLL CALL: Present: Jim Silva, Christine Silva, Nancy Jones, Patricia Welch, Skip O’Neill, Neal O’Neill, Justin Graham, Tommy Beech and Jay Martin.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Nancy motion not to read, Justin  second.  Correction to June meeting, Justin and Patricia were omitted from roll call.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Nancy read. Check book balance $50,042.44. Justin motion to accept, Jay second, no discussion. Passed.  

CORRESPONDENCE:

ROAD COMMITTEE: Paving completed and patch work completed. Graded roads yesterday. Dumpster on Central Ave was removed and the boat was removed from the road. Wisteria has a big hole in the middle of it. Neal to took at it. Neal wants to widen the roads to where they should be.

REC HALL: Janet Beech is over budget by $200 for work done to the inside of the rec hall. Nancy motion for $200 to Janet to finish the rec hall work, Neal second. Everyone thinks it looks great. Passed. June breakfast Tommy and Janet made around $27 profit. Volunteers  for the July 15th breakfast will be Janet and Tommy, and August 5th will be Jay and his wife. Justin under bid siding by $315. Jay made a motion to pay Justin the $315 and Patricia seconded. 3 for and 3 opposed, president broke tie and voted for. Passed. Jim will put the plaque for the Medeiros Family on a window. Leaving the refrig on at the rec hall is using too much electricity. All agreed it should be shut off after each breakfast. Need to have someone look at the freezer if it is no good Tommy will get rid of it. Nancy  volunteered to stain the front steps and will talk to Janet about a color.

OLD BUSINESS: Prices to survey big beach Collin $1200-$2000. Azor has not responded yet. Testing on beaches will not be done before 4th of July.  Justin made a motion to put a Porta John on big beach for the Month of July, Patricia second. 6 for 2 opposed. Passed.  Patricia to call Bay State. Timmons Family lost ropes for the big beach and will buy new ones. Tony Madonna moved ropes at second beach to his dock so that boats won’t be brought in on the beach side. Neal thinks they should be put back and will talk to him. Jim looked into pricing of road signs.  It would cost $100 for sign, post and bracket and $100 to have them put up properly. Tabled. Laminated sign for Private Property Members Only was not done, Neal to look and see if he can find out where Matt got the last one.  Mosquitoes spraying of the whole shores will be done if an official letter is written by the Association. Patricia will draw up letter. Neal will post date of spraying.

NEW BUSINESS: Hamburg and Hot Dog day when the Rec Hall is finished some time in August. Topic to be voted on in August need to be brought up in July. Raising Betterment Fees $225 Nancy motion, Patricia second passed. Nancy will make a sign. Bus Stop needs to be discussed.  Fence and surveying of big beach.
